Well, its been a little over a year pops. i miss you so much. the family isnt the same. grandma isnt the same. the kids think of you daily. i just wish that we could have one more day with you so that i could tell you exactly what you meant to me in my life. you were my rock and im finding out that you were mom's rock. she's definately having a hard time with you being gone. went to visit you on your one year anniversary of being gone....we put some mums out on your grave and cleaned it up. anyway,the kids are doing good and things are good for me. i miss you so much!! love you

Pop, father's day just passed and me and your Tutti, Skylard went to visit. I miss you so much. Life has been extremely difficult without you here. I always knew that you were the strength that kept our family together and without you there would not be one!!!! There is not a single day that goes by that you are not thought of. Your great grandbabies miss you dearly. Your little man, Caleb speaks of you often. We know that you are watching over us and around us with our everyday lives but, it still dosent make it any easier. Oh what I would give to just spend one more day with you. I stayed right by your side the last couple months before you left us but had to go out of town on your last day here with us. I arrived about 10 minutes too late and didn't get the opportunity to tell you goodbye and that I love you with every ounce of my being. You were and always will be the most awesome man in my life. You made me a better person. I am thankful for our last few conversations while we layed in that hospital room at 2 and 3 in the morning. I remeber you not being concerned with what was going on with you and that you knew that it was getting close to your time to go home and be with your Father but, as you lie there, all you could think about was your great grandbabies and things that you wanted me to promise you that I would do for them and to take care of them. If Heaven wasn't so far away, I'd pack up the kids and go for the day! I love you Pop's and I know that you knew that and for that, I am most thankful!! I look forward to seeing you again one day!!!
